The "little orchestra" head up the holidays again!
America's favorite "vintage little orchestra" returns with their annual holiday concert at the Keswick Theatre. Think of them as having stepped out of the big band era, but with a global cast of musicians adding world music to their jazz repertoire. This seasonal treat sees the band of 12 led by honey-voiced head singer China Forbes perform classic holiday hits from their 2010 Joy To The World album, in addition to more modern songs. It's sure to warm your heart better than any glass of punch!
Formed in 1994 by classical pianist Thomas F.Lauderdale in his native Portland, the band has grown from its initial four-piece lineup to an impressive 12, with the addition of China Forbes who helped cement their reputation for smooth jazz. Not content with just jazz, they also specialize in Latin music, cinematic scores and the sultriest cabaret songs in record. Throw into the mix a selection of our best-loved holiday tunes, then this is going to be one scorchingly sexy Christmas!
