Music With Heart
Country songstress Emmylou Harris is banding together with a host of special guests and friends to raise funds and awareness for the growing refugee crisis. The 13-time Grammy winning artist will be joined by fellow folk icons Steve Earle and Patty Griffin, as well as Buddy Miller and The Milk Carton Kids for a nationwide tour entitled Lampedusa (named for the Italian island many displaced refugees seek) in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service USA. Calling for compassion and courage in the face of this global emergency, Harris is well known for her philanthropy, underpinning a long and awe-inspiring career. The muso has worked with many legends in music including Bob Dylan and Neil Young, and she herself reached legendary status when she was inducted into the Country Hall of Fame in 2008.
