Another stellar performance!
Jonny Lang has never failed to impress me live, and Thursday night's show at the House of Blues in Dallas was no exception. Playing a good mix of standards, as well as new material from 'Signs' - the show was full of raw energy and emotion from beginning to end. With a tip of the hat to Muddy Waters and Stevie Wonder, Lang effortlessly navigates blues, rock, and gospel - and he clearly leads the pack of the latest generation of blues artists. His band was equally impressive, and the highlight of the evening for me was the lick exchange between Lang and his rhythm guitarist - his name escapes me, but he was from New York (and I really must apologize to him for sauntering too slow in front of him on his way to the merch table). The sheer joy on their faces during the tradeoff felt like I had a window into their garage jam session - priceless. If you are a blues fan, do NOT miss this guy perform, as he is hitting his peak - and I hope it lasts for decades.
ANOTHER AWESOME INSPIRING PERFORMANCE BY LANG
Mr. Lang not only took the time to perform for his audience with such heart and soul, but also took fans on a what seemed like a never ending rendezvous of blues, rock, and soul. Another top-notch guitar screaming performance was given by Mr. Lang last night at the Rialto Theatre in downtown Tucson. His energy brought fans standing after just about every song, and the ending was both heartfelt and electric when he encored with "Lie To Me" in a slow, solo, and steadily mesmerizing trip which thunderously moved into a riveting romp of his hit. Bravo Mr. Jonny Lang, for always giving it all ya got to us Tucsonan's ! Much thank's to you and a tight band that definitely gave us our money's worth! YES! Highly recommend catching a show at the Historic Rialto! Very pleased with seating! Kids of all ages would benefit & learn from Mr. Lang's musical talent! Had a great bite to eat pre-show at Elliots on Congress!

Blues, jazz, a touch of gospel and rock, ballads, crankin rhythm, an all around awesome show.

Great show! First song a little too hard rock for me but thoroughly enjoyed my first JL concert and the encore was awesome. Who was the guy who opened for him??
