Dylan Thomas' Christmas Tale

Based on Dylan Thomas' wintry short story, A Child's Christmas in Wales is a gentle and beautiful holiday show for all the family. The setting is a toasty living room, decked with tinsel and crowded with Christmas trees. The five person cast take it in turns to deliver stretches of Thomas' exquisite prose and sing Christmassy songs, cloaking the audience in an idyllic holiday atmosphere where love and friendship are what matters most.

Walnut Street Theater presents the Irish Repertory of New York's adaptation, which was seen Off-Broadway last year, and met with great acclaim from the critics. The show includes both original songs by Charlotte Moore, as well as traditional numbers, and musical arrangements by Mark Hartman.
