Join Ralphie Parker on his quest for his perfect Christmas present

Why See A Christmas Story?

MusicalsFamily ShowsHoliday & Christmas Shows

Based on the Classic Movie

All Ralphie Parker wants for Christmas is an air gun, but his parents aren't so keen on the idea. As they tell him time and again, "You'll shoot your eye out!", but Ralphie is not to be deterred! Based on the classic holiday movie from 1983, A Christmas Story follows Ralphie on his quest for his perfect present, overcoming all of the obstacles in his way, from his pesky younger brother, to a very unfortunate slip of the tongue.

First debuting on Broadway in 2012 to great acclaim and three Tony nominations (Best Musical, Book & Original Score), this hilarious musical features a score from songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who worked together on NBC's musical theater drama Smash. Making its Philadelphia debut, A Christmas Story is a nostalgic portrait of 1940's America and is full to the brim with Yuletide cheer. It's the perfect festive family offering from Walnut Street Theatre!
