Mozart's final Requiem has intrigued listeners since it first premiered over two hundred years ago. Unfinished upon his death, it was through his wife's promotion that the mythical piece finally reached the public. Full of haunting emotion and humanity, it is captivating and an example of a magnificent talent undiminished even in the face of the famed composer's own mortality.
Following on from Schumann's Symphony No. 4 to open the performance, don't miss this thrilling rendition from the Philadelphia Orchestra, led by conductor Nathalie Stutzmann and featuring the vocal talents of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir along with soloists Erin Morley, Harold Wilson, Kenneth Tarver and Sara Mingardo.
