Stormbringer Glenn Hughes Plays Deep Purple
Known as the 'Voice of Rock', former Deep Purple bassist and singer Glenn Hughes is dusting off his siren-like howl and turning back the clocks with his brand new Classic Deep Purple tour. Alongside a powerhouse backing band, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform a catalogue of the Iconic British band's greatest hits, from the fuzz-laden opening strains of Smoke on The Water to the bluesy swagger of Black Night. Long live Rock and Roll!
Perhaps best known as the frontman of funk rock pioneering outfit Trapeze, Glenn Hughes stepped up to the mic and embraced Deep Purple's considerable classic rock legacy, recording three albums with the band's mark III and IV incarnations. At age 66, Hughes still dons his purple shades and red velvet persona, conjuring the hedonistic rock reveries of years passed with his distinctive vocal style and enough energy to put most modern pop performers to shame.
