In 1992 animated adventure Aladdin captured the hearts and imaginations of an entire generation of kids, whisking them away to the fabled desert city of Agrabah and quickly becoming a classic of the Disney cinematic canon. Take the little ones on a magic carpet ride they'll never forget with the Walnut Street Theatre's family-friendly Aladdin Jr, featuring the original Grammy Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Tim Rice.
Based on the folk tale One Thousand and One Nights, the story follows the adventures of the titular hero. Roaming the streets of the city as a do-gooder street urchin, Aladdin and his trusty sidekick Abu's fortunes change when he chances upon a magic lamp. Inside this seemingly innocuous antique lives the boisterous genie who grants Aladdin three wishes, setting of a whirlwind of action, romance and unforgettable show tunes.
