Why see Beauty And The Beast?

A Tale As Old As Time

See Gaston, Belle, The Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip dance and sing their way through this fabulous family story which begins when a haggard old woman knocks at the door of a vain young prince, asking for shelter in exchange for a rose.

Full of all the songs we know and love from this musical including the title song Beauty and the Beast, and Be Our Guest don't miss this exciting family production!

What is the story?

Repulsed by her appearance, the prince refuses, but as he does so, the woman transforms into an enchantress and places a curse upon the prince who will now look as grotesque on the outside as he is on the inside. His servants are also afflicted by the curse and are morphed into everyday household objects.

The woman leaves the prince, who is now a beast, with a magical rose and tells him that he must learn to love and earn love in return before the last petal drops, or he and his servants will remain as they are forever.

Did you know?

The best-known version of Beauty and the Beast was penned by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, a former French singing teacher turned English governess, more than 250 years ago; it has since been translated into a film by Disney not once, but twice; and 1994, it was adapted by Disney into a musical production.
