The fat cat musical you've been waiting for!
Everybody's favorite lazy, snarky and portly feline has made the leap to the stage in his very own musical! In a brand-new production especially for kids, this hour-long adventure sees Garfield attempt to plan an epic birthday party for himself. However, it would appear that all of his friends Arlene, Odie and Jon, and even his arch nemesis Nermal have all forgotten about it! With his feelings hurt, Garfield decides to take off and run away from his problems. But after a few near-misses, he realizes an important lesson; home is where the heart - and food - is! A great musical to introduce kids to, with a heart-warming message about friendship and home.
First debuting in 1978 as a cartoon strip, Jim Davis' insouciant creation focuses on his disdain for everything in life, if it isn't food related. Lazy, spoiled and with a hatred of Mondays, Garfield's adventures mainly concentrated on his daily conversations with his owner Jon and dog companion Odie, staying clear of social commentary and politics. Sometimes his lessons are learned, but mostly forgotten by the time Garfield tucks into his favorite grub, lasagna!
