Saw the opening performance of the Magic Flute on Firday night. I've seen this opera three times now in the past few years, and this production was by far the most creative, the most engaging, and without a doubt, worthy of the immortal music Mozart blessed us with. I felt honored and humbled to watch and hear something so magnificent in its staging, its singing, its playing and conducting. Any age would love it. Change whatever you had planned this week and go see this version! Really...something you will talk about for the rest of your life.

An abomination of Mozart's The Magic Flute. Amimation was a distraction from the beautiful music. Came in from out of town to see this. I am a devout fan of opera. This kind of manipulation of a classic will not save opera. I could not have been more disapoonted.
