Sean & Les Brought It
The collaboration of Sean Lennon and Les Claypool is a treat to see live! These guys play well together and rocked their solos as well. Set list was right on, even got to hear Sean cover his dad on "Tomorrow Never Knows" which was the perfect song choice, mixing well with their overall vibe. Solos were excellent, the keyboardist and drummer are quite talented as well. The lighting was simple, illuminating the South of Reality album cover backdrop in a variety of colorful tones, altering its image with the changing colors. Every member of the band wore a unique hat, adding to the overall odd character and vibe cultivated by this amazing group of musicians who have morphed into something new by coming together for this band. Stoked to have seen this live, up close and from the front row! Awesomeness.
Les n Sean
From Pink Floyd to king crimson to The Rolling Stones these players laced their covers with innovative and amazing originals. This is San Francisco, this is the Warfield. Les and Sean succeeded in a relevant , vital, virtuoso performance.
