Pulitzer Winner

Philadelphia Premiere!

Susan-Lori Park's Pulitzer-winning drama Topdog/Underdog comes to Philadelphia in a production co-produced by People’s Light, starring Akeem Davis as Lincoln and George McGriff as Booth. Following two brothers as they struggle to achieve their version of the American Dream, director Amina Robinson brings this excellent drama to the stage this October!

What is the story?

Topdog/Underdog is a dark comedy about two African-American brothers, Lincoln and Booth. Named so as an in-joke by their father, they grew up sharing the bonds of family and sibling rivalry. As the pair struggles to earn an honest living, their bonds are put to the test - as are the lengths they'll each go to salvage a life worth living from the hands they've been dealt.
