Why see Al Jarreau?

Jazz music's hardest working veteran heads back on tour!

The 75-year old multi-Grammy Award-winning artist in THREE categories (jazz, pop and R'n'B) is still going strong after four decades in the business, and recently released a tribute album to fellow crooner George Duke to critical acclaim. A consummate performer, Jarreau heads back on tour this fall, together with his popular sextet and symphony to warm up your cold nights.

Jarreau first started singing at the tender age of four providing harmony for his older brothers in their native Milwaukee but it wasn't until the Sixties when his career took full flight performing in nightclubs and jazz venues up and down the West Coast. Branching out to New York, he enjoyed national and international exposure on various network television shows including Jimmy Carson and David Frost.

Writing and performing the theme tune to the popular Eighties television show Moonlighting (which starred Bruce Willis) saw his talents expand into composing, and more recently he has appeared with young aspiring artists on shows such as American Idol, and memorably singing a duet with comic Cheech Marin on Celebrity Duets!
