A Night of Old School Doo Wop, Soul & R&B

Ever since Philly was the birth place of soul back in the 60s and 70s, its proud musical tradition has spawned some of the greatest contributors to the genre up until the present day. Celebrate this rich sonic heritage with a triple-bill of classic funk, soul, rhythm and blues icons at the Keswick Theater this spring!

First up is the New Stylistics, a doo wop A cappella outfit formed by The Stylistic's founding member Russell Thompkins Jr in 2004. Centered around Thompkins' distinctive falsetto vocals, the group regularly performs updated arrangements of genre-defining classics like 'Betcha by Golly, Wow', 'I'm Stone In Love With You' and 'You Make Me Feel Brand New'. 'Fellow Philly soul icons The Delphonics and Kiss and Say Goodbye' hitmakers The Manhattans round off the program for a musical trip down memory lane you won't soon forget!
