Magnificence from one of history's greatest
Why see Philadelphia Orchestra - All Beethoven?
Beethoven Brilliance
The Philadelphia Orchestra turns up the volume with a program of iconic music from Ludwig van Beethoven, culminating in the composer's unforgettable Fifth Symphony. Known as one of, if not the most famous work in the entire classical canon, let yourself be transported into a world of outstanding melody and thrilling creativity from those fateful first four bars.
Conducted by Naomi Woo, elsewhere on the program the orchestra will be joined by Hong Kong pianist Aristo Sham - gold medalist at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition - for a rendition of Beethoven's First Piano Concerto, with its the high spirited orchestration and rhythmic syncopation conjuring an air of melodrama and mischief. Opening the program is the composer's Coriolan Overture, written for the 1804 tragedy of the same name.
