Hair Raising

No season is complete without a rousing performance of Carl Orff's lustful and triumphant Carmina Burana and its showstopping O Fortuna chorus. Conductor Yannick Nzet-Sguin conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra through this roof-raising piece, joined by the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Boys Choir and Philadelphia Girls Choir, as well as soprano Janai Brugger, tenor Jonah Hoskins and baritone Will Liverman.

Originally derived from a series of Medieval poems, Carmina Burana has become one of the most exhilarating live experiences to be found in concert halls across the world and as one not to be missed whenever it's performed.
