SHREK THE MUSICAL GETS A SPECIAL MAKEOVER FOR THE LITTLE ONES!

Based on the smash-hit Dreamworks movie, Walnut Street Theatre present a special production for all your little ones of Shrek! Retooled from the original stage musical, this will be a shorter show with easy to understand lines and songs, so that younger children can follow with ease. Meet our hero Shrek, a grumpy ogre who wants nothing more than to be left alone in his swamp. However, when he comes across a talkative donkey, he must go on an adventure to rescue the lovely Princess Fiona from a fiery dragon!

Shrek , a big green unfriendly ogre has been picked on by local villagers all his life; as a result is content to live alone in his swamp, eating slime and scaring off anyone who dares to come near him. But one day his peace is shattered when a ragtag group of fairy tale characters turn up seeking shelter from a mean prince who is trying to banish them. In order to get his peaceful life back, he teams up with the smart-mouthed Donkey One day, a bunch of fairy tale misfits hide away in his swamp from a villain trying to ruin their lives. Shrek teams up with a wise-cracking donkey to get his swamp back and ends up on a quest to save a very modern princess who is less than happy to be rescued, and somehow ends up saving the entire fairy tale kingdom as well!

A lovely and cheeky tale of acceptance and the value of friendship, this musical is shorter than the original, as to keep the little ones engrossed!
