The Philadelphia Ballet celebrates its 60th year during the 2023/24 season, and what better way to kick off proceedings than with Artistic Director Angel Corella's newest much-anticipated world premiere! Elevating Bizet's opera in a stunning fusion of classical ballet and traditional Spanish dance, discover the story of the infamous femme fatale Carmen, set on the sultry streets of Southern Spain.


Telling the story of a beautiful woman whose fickle attentions end up being her downfall, Carmen is a blazing cautionary tale that shows that men always hold the power, however strong the woman is.
