LYNYRD SKYNYRD ZZ TOP

Lynyrd Skynyrd played with intensity, emotion, and passion. Good electric piano, guitar, and vocals performances. Very good show. As good as Lynyrd Skynyrd was ZZ top was that inadequate. The bass guitar and bass drums were over mixed to the point of drowning out the Billy Gibbons vocals to the point of being inaudible. During the first four of five songs the guitar work did not sound in sync. The early work from Tres Hombre was particularly disappointing. It is hard to believe the band sounded this poorly during rehearsal and did not make any corrections. No tribute to Dusty Hill during the show was perplexing. Even more perplexing was the way the show ended the band walk off the stage, no thank you to the crowd, no encore. The band did not even play Tush. A first for the many times I have seen ZZ Top over the years. Maybe no body could do the vocals? All in all a very disappointing performance. A mail it in performance. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a must see again. ZZ Top no.

LYNYRD SKYNARD / ZZ TOP / UNCLE KRACKER

Saw them last night in Fort Worth. LS was terrific ! They really brought the crowd in to it. Giving tribute to all first responders, our Country and the Great state of Texas !! Music was clear and spot on. Best performance I've seen in awhile. UK was really good as well. ZZ was disappointing, couldn't understand the lyrics, it's like they were yelling more than singing. Just didnt sound in sync. Expected more out of ZZ.

SKYNRD WORTH SEEING

We loved Skynrd and hearing all of our faves. The band sounded amazing. Vocals were good and loved the tributes! ZZ too should not have been the headliner. We left after the 5th song. Very disappointing. Could not understand anything he was singing if you can even call it that. Was pretty awful.

IMPRESSED WITH ZZ TOP BUT LYNYRD SKYNYRD WAY TOO LOUD

I love ZZ Top. I was actually very impressed with the quality of the sound. They still have it. I enjoyed every second of the concert. But with LYNYRD SKYNYRD it was almost impossible. I was so disappointed because I love their music but the volume was so extremely loud, it was impossible to enjoy. I have attended rock concerts all my life and I don't remember ever not been able to enjoy a concert because the volume was extremely high. They need a better sound engineer. Rock doesn't have to be so loud that it hurts your ears. Please just lower the volume and people will enjoy more. Remember we are not 20 anymore LOL

WISH I HADN'T

Like others have said, Lynyrd Skynyrd did a pretty good show musically but their on stage schtyk is really getting old including the constant pointing at the crowd, the ceiling and the screen behind them both with the microphone stand (with the tired knotted flag scarf on it) and just a straight arm. If ZZ Top didn't mention Dusty much, L.S. couldn't stop showing deceased band members on the screen behind them. Time for L.S. to come up with new on stage schtyk or even better just stand there and play music, it's what you're good at. ZZ Top, time to hang it up...Gibbons' voice is gone and Beard just looks exhausted, he could hardly keep his head up.
