LOVED IT!

We are HUGE Cirque fans & our seats were in the front row tonight. At first my husband said he would rather be back a little & then very quickly into the show he said “no, these seats are amazing!” We’ve been to so many show I can’t keep track! I thought the music & performers were amazing! I loved how the performances were different from the other shows. I’ll be honest in that the clowns were just ok & I didn’t get some of the jokes & the balancing act was a bit long but impressive! I would rather have seen another acrobatic act. That was more for America’s Got Talent. All in all we loved it!

ATHLETES

Saw Amaluna tonight with my family. Amazing acrobatic storytelling with super gymnastic delivery. Staggering human achievement in the art of live entertainment. Suggest getting tickets ASAP as this show will be a 100% sell out as soon as the word gets out.

LOVED IT

Always wanted to see CDS and this was amazing!! Pure coincidence it was on while in town. I'm only leaving a review but the reviews below are totally unjustified and atypical of everyone else who went to the show

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT

Loved the show, great views from our seats and the music flowed well. Dancing was superb and story line easy to follow. Delightful!

GREAT CIRQUE SHOW

Amaluna was highly enjoyable and had many thrilling and amazing moments. The the women acrobats suspended in a ring or ropes were mesmerizing. The giant water bowl acts were exciting vignettes. The palm frond balancing act was suspenseful and enthralling. The women on uneven bars and the guys on the teetertotter board were spectacular (though some may say boring - I'd say only because you expect more and more daring acts the more Cirque shows you've seen). The clown man and woman were funny and had a touching side story. The costumes and music really made the show even better. Amaluna is definitely a much more exciting production than other traveling Cirque shows and I'd say is also as good as or better than some Cirque shows I've seen in Vegas.

AMALUNA WAS GREAT!

Enjoyed another great traveling show in Winnipeg last night. It was really good. The seating was good, with more leg room than the last show we attended. I don't think there was a bad seat in the house! The only issue was getting out of the parking lot. 2 exits and all those cars, it took forever to get out. I would never park in the gates again. In the time that we waited for our turn, we could have easily walked to the Outlet mall or even Ikea parking lot and still had a good head start on the drive home! Overall a fantastic evening! We paid full price for tickets as we bought them as soon as they announced the show, and now they are at least 20 cheaper per seat. I won't do that again!

UNORGANIZED VENUE. PARKING RIP OFF

This was our 1st time going to one of these shows. Even though I never followed any story line I still thought the show was outstanding. Very entertaining. The venue was not very good. Seating was very tight. We moved to an empty section at intermission to breathe. Washrooms were lacking. Concessions over priced. Parking very unorganized. Unorganized from the directions where to park to the $15 that they charged. Once you arrive at the tent they expect you to buy a parking pass for $15 that you have to show on the way out. My suggestion is don't buy the pass. Exiting was chaotic & I never saw anybody being asked to show their pass. I guess that explains why nobody was purchasing a pass.

DISAPPOINTED

I’ve been to half a dozen cirque shows over the years & have been incredibly impressed & entertained every time.. well not this time.. the trademark costumes& makeup just wasn’t there.. the talent was there but the showmanship wasn’t . Normally you feel like you’re entering another world. Watching fascinating creatures doing the impossible.. not with this show..they looked like ordinary acrobats doing a show. I also paid $15 for a parking pass that no one looked at as we were leaving.. concession prices ridiculous too.. i’ll Read reviews before I attend another cirque show.. hope they get their mojo back!

GREAT SHOW BUT CONCESSIONS WERE A HUGE RIP OFF!!!

Performers are very talented and the show was fun to watch. However, we had to pay $85 for 5 soft pretzels (which were stale) and 5 diet cokes. This was a terrible and disappointing rip off and reflects very poorly on the Cirque Du Soleil show. Really sort of ruined it for me! Would not recommend to anyone.

DISAPPOINTED

We are a big fan of Cirque Du Soleil we are always thrilled to go when they come to town, but Amaluna the tour of this year was a huge disappointment. It was my least favorite Cirque Du Soleil show from the past several tours we went to. The clown ladies were not funny at all very annoying ever!! Water bowl, Teeterboard, Chinese Pole and Cali were impressive, but other performances were not surprising noting grabbed us. We didn't like the Uneven bars that all girls did ordinary gymnastic tricks and that was it! The girl who did a balancing trick, took too long I was getting really bored on that. Waste of time! Throughout the show, there was no wow-effect at all. Music was enjoyable so that helped for the night. However, I respect their effort, just didn't turn out exciting. Love CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.

NOT GOOD.

The show had its moments. But certainly not as good as I was expecting. The clown was annoying not nearly as annoying as the woman. I kept thinking "what am I missing?" The lizard dude could really juggle. The music and band was great and the acts of strength by the sub 100lb women were simply amazing. But I was ready to leave immediately after that. There was nothing exciting about the show except for a few tense moments with the cheerleader style acrobatics. Bottom line, you will be disappointed one way or another with this show. I should have read the reviews before going to the show.

UNCOMFORTABLE AND SLOW AT POINTS

We sat in section 200, which I would recommend .. right centered and with no obstructions. It is a very snug "theatre", actually a big top tent in the parking lot. The seats are extremely narrow. We have sat in tight seating sometimes but this was very uncomfortable le. If you shifted in your chair, the two people on either side of you have to readjust. Think 6 inches narrower than the middle seat of an airplane NARROW!! The show itself was just OK. 30% was very exciting and 70% just dragged ... on and on ... Between uncomfortable seating and a show that had a lot of dead time, made for a very LONG evening. I would not do this show again. This is NOT the Cirque duo Soleil show you think of when you hear about it. This is a spinoff that does NOT do the franchise any favors. If you want to check seeing a Cirque du Soleil show off your Must do list, do NOT see this one.

SUPER DISAPPOINTED

I completely concur with everything Julie from SF noted in her review. She was spot on with every detail. By far the worst performance of Cirque de Soleil I’ve been to and wish I had checked the reviews before having spent a small fortune on tickets. It left such a bad taste I doubt I’ll ever buy tickets to CDS again.

SO DISAPPOINTING

We have seen nearly every incarnation of Cirque du Soleil and loved them all to varying degrees, but loved them nevertheless. We attended Amaluna this evening and were extremely disappointed. Where every other Cirque has had a dreamlike quality created by costuming, makeup and ingenious sets and lighting, this one seemed little more than gymnastics. The performers were all very talented as always. We especially enjoyed the woman who did the balancing mobile. We’d seen this on tv before tho. As for story? Nonexistent really. The best takeaway for me was the mobile. At the point in which the woman pulled the smallest piece out of it, with larger ribs collapsing all around her, I thought it worked on three levels. 1) even the smallest among us have great power 2) With determination and concentration the seemingly impossible becomes possible. 3) This smallish Cirque show in it's uninspired showing could cause the collapse of the larger Cirque franchise

VERY DISAPPOINTED

SF: We paid about $160 each, plus $50 parking per car, popcorn, hotdog, pretzels all ranged about $8-$9 each item. There were 6 of us all visiting from different states. Review: after the shock of parking and food. The so called clowns were funny in the beginning. Then it got old really fast. 10 minutes was plenty but it went on throughout the show!, not good. The music even though live wasn’t to my taste at all. I know they have worked very hard but it missed their mark. Sorry I do not recommend this show. I have them a 2 because they worked very hard and did a great job but it just didn’t come together

VERY DISSAPOINTING!!!

Went to a Sunday afternoon show. Breathless with anticipation when we took our seats. By the intermission we thought about leaving. My 9 year old daughter said to me that the clowns were rude, and I couldn't agree more. I expected more from a 70% female cast. I saw more ass cheeks and shirts being takien off.I am used to Cirque being more. Miss Algeria, best Cirque ever. Please go back to that!! Plus I did purchase the playbook and was so disappointed to see all of the acts that were discuded from our show. For $100+ each seat. I expected SO MUCH MORE!!! I will rethink ever going to a live show again.

THANKS FOR THE REVIEW

The Big Top is over the top with parking fees, concession prices for popcorn... $10, etc and a lack luster, boring performance with overpriced tickets, that become discounted, when patrons have paid full price. Thanks to all that gave their honest reviews, you saved me a pile of money for something in the future worth seeing at our home town venues.

AMALUNA

My husband and I were very disappointed in Amaluna. We have seen many Cirque Du Soleil shows and Amaluna was not up to par. The sound system was distorted and way too loud.

WORST CIRQUE DU SOLEIL I'VE SEEN

It's been a tradition of ours to go see Cirque Du Soleil every year as the dates always align with my birthday and makes for an amazing night out. We have also seen each of the shows in Vegas which are all worth checking out if you get the chance. Amaluna shouldn't even be considered part of the Cirque Du Soleil legacy. While the talent of the performers is unquestionable, the acts seemed reserved and toned down from what we're used to. While we expect some standard filler performances in-between the truly exciting ones, we never expected the show to be 100% filler. This is the first year we left unimpressed and and questioning whether we will be coming back again. If you're thinking about spending the money on these tickets set your expectations extremely low and you may be pleasantly surprised.

AMALUNA

Compared with other CDS shows this was a boring low production version. IT lacked originality and excitement. I found myself day dreaming alot. Save your money

OHH WHAT A WASTE OF $145 X 2

If you have ever been at a resort show in Mexico this resembles one. Those shows at the resort are good but they certainly don't cost $145 per ticket. We were so disappointed. They had two clowns running around speaking some weird language to fill in time and the music and drums were so annoying. They acrobats were great but that was it. They had a woman doing some weird balancing act with clubs and thought she would never finish. Terrible and no organization and had no one to show us to our seats. Never again.
