KILLED IT

I went into the Chicago Theatre and I didn’t know what to expect. Mariah set the tone and pace from the very beginning. I felt like this tour was a good collection of songs from discography. Some songs I thought I would never hear her sing live while other songs I looked forward to from the new cd. Hands down, Mariah killed it in Chicago tonight.

LARGER THAN LIFE

Wow ! From the beginning to the end Mariah had the audience up and out of their seats . Best moment is when her BEAUTIFUL children came running out on stage to greet Chicago ! FABULOUS Diva clothes, what more can you ask for.

GREAT SHOW IN PITTSBURGH

Thrilled to see Mariah and so was the crowd. They loved her last night. The band was perfect and Mariah was fun. Very well done. A African American girl in her mid 20's was leaving before the last song. She walked past me and said to her friend, one more. Mariah hit the first note and the girl knew it was " Hero". The girl put her hands on her face and became emotional. By the end of the song the girl was in full facial tears and her face was wet. She had broke down completely. Everybody loved Mariah last night. She was great.Hope to see her again soon, thank you - Marc

EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED FROM IT. FUN WITH NOSTALGIA

Having been a Mariah fan for nearly 30 years, I went in knowing exactly which phrases she would lip synch in every song and which phrases she would actually sing. If you don't let the back and forth between lip synching and actually singing get to you, the show is a really good time. No, she can't move, nor walk properly (I actually think something's wrong with her legs when she walks around) and she avoids actually singing every single hard part of every song (she let's the lip synch track take over and it's obvious), BUT the song choices were awesome. Happy to hear Glitter songs, Anytime you Need a Friend was always one of my fav songs and I was thrilled to hear it. Lots of fun lights and background graphics. So, if you're a big fan, I say go for it. It wasn't worth the $200 price tag, but if you find decent priced tickets, go and have a good time.Even if her lip synching comes off as a gimic, she changed and influenced music around the world and used to have the worlds best voice.

MARIAH CAREY LOUISVILLE

Waited over an hour for her to come on. Voice is strong but needs to be more considerate of fans on a week night. Some of us have to go to work the next day-early.

MARIAH CAREY

We waited one hour and half for her to finally come on stage . We were just at the point of leaving . Th acoustics were terrible with the first few songs she sang you could hardly hear her voice . The worst part of this concert was having the entire audience standing throughout her performance. I do not want to pay 200 for a ticket and have to stand and try to look over someone’s head all night . Needless to say she has an amazing voice she is a terrible performer.

LEFT EARLY:(

Mariah came out over an hour late- wasting my time. Opener was a DJ playing bits of old music- constantly asking us to "give it up". ugh. Mariah is practically immobile- venturing steps one at a time, like an elderly person- which she is not. Too much of backup dancers filling time- which i didn't come to see. Music sounds like karaoke- if I closed my eyes, I was very disappointed. Songs were just snippets- took too long to recognize every song because of the deviations. She sings what she can, avoids the rest. Voice is obviously manipulated when needed-. Best to listen to it all at home. And no, I didn't enjoy seeing her children, seemed like a sad play to give her fans a little extra and it doesn't make up for her lack of performance. The CAUTION album is really, very good. Benedum Theater is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is friendly and professional.

NOT WORTH THE WAIT

Waited almost an hour and a half. No show just a few songs, she sings great but the show was so disappointing. Even on the screens, they were flat.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

I was most disappointed on a number of levels. First the acoustics were horrible and the sound resembled the lack of quality expected in a stadium. Second, Mariah did not sing in her famous five octave range, she was flat and unenergetic. She is not a very dynamic entertainer and the songs sounded like music on the radio that you ignore. No dynamism at all! At not even 50 years of age she feels like a has been. In a formal theatre why were we kept waiting for an hour? And finally the gratuitous appearrance of her kids. Really lousy overall! And the audience stood during the entire concert screaming and holding their phones. Again I felt as if I was in a stadium.

THE GRINCH WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS

OK I thought I had figured tickets would be a really great Christmas presen for my wife. Webwere we surprised. Besides keep us waiting for a long time after the opening act, it appeared that we were watching a has been who is still trying to think she’s had a great act. The audience didn’t help, they must’ve thought they were coming to rock concert, everyone stood, but it was a Christmas concert. We noticed we were not the only ones who left early. She never realized she was in Kansas City, Mo not Ks. Shows she is out of touch and disrespectful of her audience.
