I was bedazzled by the costumes, the acting, the songs and singing, the dancing, and the energy of the actors/actresses. I was singing those songs all the way home. The theater is very cozy and every seat is a good seat. The area is full of nice restaurants, and we picked Maggiano's. Since we were going to the Walnut Street Theater, they graciously gave us 15% off our bill ! It was my first time at this theater, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone. I can't wait for the next play!

Absolutely loved it! Singing and dancing was superb....I saw it last year on Broadway and this was just as spectacular. I highly recommend!!!

I saw a 2 p.m show this past Saturday with my wife. The seats were great as was the view. I am no expert (as others seem to be who posted here ) but if you can ask an extremely talented young cast to do justice to an 80 year old story and do it better than good then bravo.( do you theater folks still say that?) Anyway we loved it . As far the title of my review, it stems from being in our 60's and still being two of the youngest in attendance for the show. Thanks to the cast for putting such energy into songs and a story that were created in a different time, place and world.- ETL West Chester

Too Dated

Sorry to disagree - but having had a subscription at WST for 30 + years - I can honestly say this was the worst musical they ever put on. The Dancers and singers were truly fabulous talented people - but they couldn't save the show. The set design and direction were uninspired. Having a 12 year old trying to collect for the bank was just preposterous - even though the young man that played the part was very talented. All the talented cast couldn't save this production.

I found the production somewhat High Schoolish. Everyone is working hard but it is just not believable. I also have a have time with The continued lack of diversity in casting
