I made a special trip up from DC to see this production and it would have been worth traveling 5x further....probably the finest Carmen I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a dozen). Standouts were Don Jose’s limpid tenor voice, Carmen’s sexy sultry voice, body, and movements, and the crisp yet lush beauty of the itchy.
