Misadventure with the Philadelphia Ballet's Don Quixote!
Ludwig Minkus' beloved adaptation of the classic novel gets a thrilling new interpretation from master choreographer Angel Corella. Telling the stories of two lovers determined to break free of expectations, and the misadventures of a slightly mad knight, Don Quixote is a larger-than-life ode to following passion.
Basilio, a charming local barber, is head over heels for Kitri, the daughter of the innkeeper. But her father's not going to let Basilio near her, having arranged her betrothal to the eccentric Gamanche. In the meantime, famed knight Don Quixote - whose imagination is a bit bigger than reality - determines to set off in search of adventure with his trusty squire Sancho Panza in tow. As the two stories intertwine in thrilling and unexpected ways, the young lovers must find a way to bring their lives together.
