Why see Philadelphia Ballet - Stars and Stripes Forever!?
250 Years of the USA

Witness four artistic visions which chart the country's culture, art and legacy.
Stars and Stripes, George Balanchine's 1958 tribute to John Philip Sousa's spirited marches, is the ultimate celebration of American pride, set to beautifully triumphant music, while Who Cares, is set to the jazz-tinged music of American great George Gershwin. Feld's Variations on America is set to Charles Ives' piece celebrating Independence Day, while Robbins' Fancy Free is set to Broadway legend Leonard Bernstein's music.
